There is truth to every story.... There are vampires in the swamps of Theriot, Louisiana. But that's not a problem for Charlotte-Rose Sparrow, a gun-slinging southern belle, and her brother Chance, an adventurous athlete with supernatural abilities. Together there is nothing they cannot face, but everything changes when they come across the one monster they cannot beat--the Crimson Fever. Now Chance walks the line between life and death, and Charlotte's only hope of saving him is to walk away from the life she knows and chase after a cure that exists only in legends. Charlotte steps through the gate into Aether, a world of magic and danger, and discovers she's not the only one after the coveted Wishing Stone. With the help of her pistol, her charm, and her friends, Charlotte must face ravenous monsters, an army of vampires, and a sinister plot that could lead to the end of everything she knows.

"THE AFTERLIFE CAN BE A REAL BITCH, RIGHT?" "Henri-" I began, but Henri's hand snatched up mine and squeezed tightly enough to break bones. I bit my tongue to hold back a cry. It was a warning. "Maria didn't say anything about a couple of vampires wanting to meet with her," the green-haired warlock spoke after the area had stilled with electrified silence. I looked Henri's way, and that's really when our situation caught up with me. Wait... "Maria..." I murmured in remembrance, then sent Henri a glare. "Why are we here to see Maria Day? If you don't remember, let me remind you that I killed her friend. Hell, her master. She'll kill me when she sees me." Henri had the nerve to laugh softly. "You're already dead, Antoinette." "Thanks to you. There are other ways witches can hurt vampires, aren't there?" My eyes traveled shortly to the warlocks, Daniel and Zachary, and I shook my head. "She'll burn me alive! I'm not going in there." "You're overacting," Henri said with a dramatic eye roll with a worth of a slap across his face. Lucky for him, I kept my hands at my sides. This night was about to get dangerous... This is Book 3 of The Hunters Saga! 1st draft, so there WILL be mistakes!
