Cheryl Miller lived in a small Texas town, her two best friend Willowdean and Ellen were the only people that Cheryl had fun with. Cheryl is known as a nerd by her peers (even though her grades are average) and somewhat of an outcast along with her friends. One summer Willowdean helped Cheryl get a job at Harpy's diner so she could save money to get out of the small town, and thats where she met Bo Larson. With Willowdean's goal to prove her mother wrong, Cheryl is dragged into the revolution of the Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant.
