When the Mikaelsons were transformed into Vampires and they ran away. Many years later in New Orleans he met three girls, all more different than the last. One girl calm as a River, the other as needed as air, and the last Untameable like Fire. They're names were Skyler, Amani, and Emery. Kol had a certain liking towards one of the girls. It was Emery. Her flames drew the two together only for them to be torn apart as the Mikaelsons fled the city.
Centuries later the Mikaelsons return and they rediscovered they're old friends.

Years before he'd been daggered, the Reckless Mikaelson had met a very talented songstress who had befriended him. Kol had found her fascinating, especially when she felt no attraction to him and treated him like the brother she had never had, while he treated as the sister he needed. The blonde had been completed shocked when Kol told her everything and he was overjoyed to find she never treated him any different. And unlike a lot of people, she didn't ask to be changed .
