Alison is sixteen, shy and quiet, and she's never been in love. She's new in town and she's messed up and upset because of all the family drama.

George meets Ali, Ali meets George.

And they make a deal. The perfect summer romance, they call it. There are no rules but one: "No falling in love, at least not for real."

They have the entire summer for them, to learn how to love without really falling in love. And when autumn comes, it will be over.

It is a pretty good arrangement.
