I look across the street at a boy who happens to be staring right back at me. I notice how his hair looks perfectly windswept but also managed, and how his eyes are a piercing green. Someone taps me on the shoulder, and I look away for a split second to see my little sister Amanda showing me the makeup set that she got my other sister, Rae, for Christmas. I look back across the street and the boy I saw had disappeared. Oh well, I thought. I probably won't ever see him again. Damn. He was a real hottie. I shocked myself by thinking that, but decided it was fine, because after all, I am a gay boy who finds other boys and men attractive.

"Mark!" Amanda exclaimed. "Come look at what mom's getting for Charlie!"
