We all know the story didn't start with a wedding between a goat and a skeleton. It started when a troubled kid jumped down a mountain hoping to end it all, but instead got the family she needed.
So join me and allow me to tell more tales of the Serriff-Dreemurr kids and their adventures before the wedding. Enjoy Asriel and Chara before the buttercups, Chara sarcastically guiding Frisk through the underground, Frisk keeping the peace between Flowey and Asriel, and more!
Technically a prequel to Dead Giveaway and the first of the Breaking Down Barriers series. However it's a one-shot fic and has no complete plot. Although Storytime and Dead Giveaway may reference each other, you do not have to Dead Giveaway to understand the stories here, and vice versa.

This story is inspired by many other works and may bear some resemblance in certain places. However, I will endeavor to make this story it's own. 2 years ago monsters were released from the underground, ending their centuries-long imprisonment at the hands of ancient humans. Not a soul remains in the underground. But that doesn't mean no one's there. Be it chance or fate, The First Fallen will soon meet an all too curious human as he ventures into the deep beneath. After 3 years after Frisk flee the monsters from the Underground. She lives happily up on the surface with her new family of monsters. Well with Toriel, Asgore, Undyne, Alphys, and Flowey left to Washington D.C to meet the president. Sans and Papyrus are left to watch Frisk till Toriel returns home. Chara has plans to take control of Frisk. He wants her soul and to Reset the world again. There is however another person whom lurks beneath the shadows that Sans and Papyrus kept secret from Frisk. Now it's all going to be reveal. So many mystery to solve and secrets to uncrack. Frisk will soon have to face her fears and overcome Chara's evil plans. With the help of old and new friends.
