Solveigh Winters has dreamed of being a BMX rider since she was a girl. At sixteen she is well on her way to that dream. Skilled as many riders twice her age, Sol is confident that nothing can stand in her way.

But then one day everything changes. After a biking accident, Sol wakes up unable to see. When she learns there is little chance she will ever regain her sight, Solveigh is certain her life is over.

In an attempt to get her to take an interest in life again, Sol's parents enroll her in a class for the blind. Sol is certain it won't change anything, but she agrees to go to please her family. There she meets Trey.

Trey lost his sight in a car accident. Bitter and angry, all he wants is to forget. Sol and Trey are both broken, but together they learn to find hope... to find the light within that shines through even the thickest darkness.
