Richard Tozier has been grieving something for over six months that he can't even remember. What's left of his memories are two young boys that he used to hang out with when he was younger. He can't remember their names, just what they look like.
That's when the boys decide to visit him one night, whether it's because Richard is in a drunken spur and hallucinating, or they're actually there, he doesn't know.

A few days ago just an ounce of Richie's attention was almost too much to bear. Now, he feels engulfed in it - hot tickling flames that spread from his chest to his fingers when their wrists touch between the seats of the car.
