edit 3/9/23 I wrote this when I was 12 so please disregard the age-old "I'm not like other girls" trope and anything else ok thanks 🤓🤓 "They say the Woodland King's voice makes the rivers flow fast, and his claws could shred men into ribbons of flesh and bone." A Princess longing to prove herself to be as brave as any prince, a sorcerer hired to save an ailing kingdom by spinning straw into gold, and a spinning wheel. A fairytale unlike any you have heard before. * * * When a magical mishap leads to Rumpelstiltskin and Princess Rosa switching bodies, a dangerous misunderstanding leads to them being separated and thrust into each other's lives. Trapped and forced to navigate an unfamiliar world, they must find a way to switch back while not raising suspicion from those closest to them. We all know the classic story of a girl who lost her glass slipper running away from her dreams, and racing back to her sad reality of being a peasant maid for her own step-mother and step-sisters, the only family she has left. Yes, this is a story based on none other than the character of Cinderella. However...this rendition of telling the tale is quite different. This quick-read is all written in the form of haikus; a form of poetry that is written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. In this story, you learn about the lives these characters really lived behind the scenes of the happily ever after that we all know to be. You'll discover rich amounts of character development from minor characters and learn major mic-drops about the major characters. I hope you enjoy reading and visualizing the lives of various characters and what they may have been thinking throughout this story! What will Ri do when confronted with Rumpelstiltskin? Now the two tales are merging.
