Pram, seorang penulis tua yang telah banyak menulis karya-karya buku hingga ia ditawan di Pulau Buru oleh Pemerintah diktator dan akan kabur untuk menjelajahi dunia agar ia menulis lebih banyak karya.

Apakah yang akan terjadi kepada mereka berdua? Apakah mereka akan bertemu pada akhirnya? Apakah Gie berhasil mencari makna Kebijaksanaan Sejati? Apakah Pram berhasil berlayar hingga sampai ajalnya untuk menorehkan tinta untuk sejarah dunia?
