After a traumatic event, Kaitlin Maybelle and her widowed mother move to Alaska and completely isolate themselves. Her mom works from home and well she is homeschooled. Suddenly time flies by and she turns 15, time for high school. Kaitlyn and her mom decide it's time to rejoin society by living to Florida in a beach side home. Her mom is no longer working from home and she is going to a real high school. Throughout her journey she finds a boy. Adam Jensten. He was very different. 16 year old Danae's life is slowly going downhill with trying to get a job and get into college. His mum doesn't make it any easier though. She's hot headed and is always annoyed at Danae because he looks just like his dad, who his mum has just divorced. His best friend Eden is having problems with her boyfriend and Danae slowly develops feelings for her. They hang out and play video games once a week, which is the highlight of his weeks. He doesn't want to jeopardise his friendship by telling Eden he has romantic feelings for her, until he gives in shortly after their shared kiss.
