A good way to imagine the mind is to imagine a mesh of wires, sometimes they can get all tangled, which can be stressful if you can't untangle them. However, if you can find a way to do it, the wires are able to let the electricity flow normally again, allowing you to think straight. Occasionally though, your wires can snap, you can tape them back together, but they'll never work the same again. You could buy a new wire, but it wouldn't have the same connection. I know you're probably thinking, but what if they all break? Well, that can lead to some faults elsewhere, there would be no connection, no power. It would be dark, forever. Her name is Cicada, and her wires snapped.
They say when you're about to die, your life flashes before your eyes. I never doubted that. But, what they don't tell you is this - When you're about to kill the only person in the world who truly loves you, your memories with that person also flash before your eyes. Not everyone gets their fairtytale ending. And I was no exception. These are the memories of those six seconds before.
