Vax are everywhere and nothing is certain. Track runner, Malakai Spade's parents were some of the only anti-vaxxers left in Ontario, which turned out to be a good thing, esspecially since all the micro-bots in the vaccines were hacked, giving these hybrid species of human the nick-name "Vax".
Now it is up to Spade and a group of non-vaccinated refugees to stop the Vax outbreak and save their country.

The Z Contingency

A Different Virus - Laura's Story
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick.
