Draco disguises himself as a girl so he isn't attacked during 8th year.
When Voldemort was defeated, there was a moment of pure joy. Voldemort was dead, finally! After being tormented for so long the people where free! But that moment of joy was followed by a moment of sadness. So many people died for the cause. So, so many. Family, friends, it didn't matter who you are, you knew someone who had died for the cause.
People turned on each other out of anger and sadness, looking to blame someone who is still alive. Slytherins got the worst of it, they were hated beyond repair, but not as bad as the prince of Slytherin, Draco Malfoy.
