Beyond the Painting

On November, 10th 2013 I began to realize that my best friend was slipping through my fingers. That the man I once knew and loved with every piece of my heart was no longer the man I was talking to. I had a front row seat to the long and drawn out mental and then physical suicide of the only person that had ever told me that I was worth more than street trash. The person that begged me to keep fighting, the man that stayed up night after night just to make sure I wouldn't harm myself, the one who kept me alive had taken his own breath away. He stopped his heart from beating... and in a way, he took my heartbeat with him.

5 years later I was finally able to put my complex emotions into the right words in honor of him.
So, I present to you...
