Rose a girl newsie from Manhattan. Gets left on the street. When a crippled boy finds her they connect because it happened to him also. They find work as newsies to survive. When the strike starts they need to stay even closer. Also they might find that they are more than friends. This is a PG 13 book. You have been warned. This follows the broadway musical and the strike.The covers base drawing is someone's else's but I changed it a little bit and coloured it. If you know the artist please PM me.

It's been over a year since the strike has settled and the newsies haven't had any problems with Pulitzer since. But that's not to say that they didn't all have problems outside of work. Jack and Katherine were unhappy together. They didn't feel the love towards each other that they used to feel. Yet they were too scared to say something to one another. Crutchie wanted for his long-time crush to love him back, although he knew that would never happen. Still, one could dream. Davey and Les's father had been severely injured by an incident at work. He wasn't so lucky this time around and passed away due to blood loss. This drove their mother into a state of insanity, forcing Davey and Les to pack up their things and leave. They now live on the streets with their fellow newsies, struggling to support themselves just like every other newsie.
