Welcome to Lusavani, a mystical land filled with strange creatures and the occasional magic touch.
When younglings reach their 18th birthday, their Summoning, they are awarded the chance to earn a pair of wings, a physical marker of the soul. For the many, it presents an opportunity to reach higher in society, for the few, it is an awakening, to join the ranks of the sorcerers in the capitol. And for Avalon, it is a dreaded day where she will learn if she is even meant to be alive.
A few days before her ceremony, the prince of Lusavani comes to her city. With wings like an angel, he begs Avalon to keep him hidden from the city officials. Unsure at first, she agrees, but soon an unexpected appearance from the queen forces Avalon and the prince to run. Knowing he is hiding from the truth, Avalon challenges him, and what he reveals is her worst nightmare.
In a tale of mystery and finding freedom, Avalon must learn what her real truth is, and why she must depend on herself to reach the end of her journey.
I plan on updating this every Saturday, but don't be surprised if a chapter is out early.
