It was never always like this.. Well 2/3 of it anyway.
Before this people screamed with joy now drowned by the screams of agony.
People running around playing tag, now running from death as if it was 'it'.
People where scared to breath.
People where scared to blink.
But most of all, people where scared to live.
People wanted it to be over, people wanted it all to just be a dream, that their children would run to them and their deaths where just a nightmare and didn't kill them. Wishing for something they where not. Murderers.
They wanted everything to be a sick practical joke... That their friends didn't get their intestines ripped out of them and decorated the floor as if it was a scarf. But it wasnt.

Basically, this is just a modern AU of One piece but in my AU. this isn't a One-shot tho, this is basically something I came up with while laying on my bed instead of sleeping like I was suppose to. Every time it is in their grasp, it slips past them and doesn't appear again in a while. It has always been like this, since they met their psychopathic and controlling 'boss', freedom sounded like a legend in the minds of the four. Being assassin's for the infamous Blackbeard's was their job. Killing people since they were captured, trained until their bones broke, it's a never ending cycle they had to endure. For they knew what would happen if they slipped up. They never tried thinking of any type of escape plan, for every opportunity they had was quickly closed up. They thought they would stay in this corrupted operation forever, they really did. But their boss finally slipped up, bringing them to the one place they had placed all their hope in getting out.
