Aimee is back, much to her dismay. Life is never that simple, or easy, and that is something Aimee definitely understands. She’s called on once again, but needed more than ever before. She believed she was immortal, but these new foes can kill her as if she were just a human.
The demons have escaped Hell and, fueled with blind rage, they destroy everything on a whim without mercy. They cannot be reasoned with and are absolutely unpredictable. They crave the light the angels have, sucking it out of them until their immortality is gone, taking their life with it.
The humans are relying on the angels for protection, but who will protect the angels when some of their numbers mysteriously disappear?
The angels enlist Lucien and the newest angel’s human counterpart, but Aimee finds her soul craves Lucien just like he craves her power, not being able to control it. She can’t resist his touch, even if it’s killing her.
