Finding the Other Side of the World [ Pokémon Fanfiction ]

From the three starters that inhabit the Pokéballs that belong to Professor Kukui, Rowlet seems to be the least popular choice out of all three of them. However, Kyudo, a friendly and foolish Rowlet is determined to be chosen by any two rookie trainers that stop by once every year. Despite his extreme confidence and hope, it quickly soars down as the two rookie trainers choose his other companions, Litten and Popplio, leaving Kyudo behind with Professor Kukui.

However, when a third rookie trainer arrives, Kyudo perks up, knowing that the third would have to pick him, since he was the last one out of the three left. Professor Kukui is slightly confused, remembering only two trainers had signed in, but reluctantly allowed the trainer to receive Kyudo. His happiness, however, only lasted for a second as his journey begins with a Team Skull grunt disguised as a trainer to only trick the Professor.

The story unfolds here, as young Kyudo finds himself with multiple trainers until he finally finds the same affection that he gives towards his trainer. In other words, until the time comes when he finally reaches the other side of the world.
