A long time ago, long before the time of King Arthur and Merlin, when magic was free to be practised, grew a kingdom. It's name is long forgotten, but it's legends shone brighter than Camelot's. The people believed that your fate is bound to the land. Others believe that you choice you're own fate. None of that mattered for Mason, a local hunter. As long as he had a roof over his head and food in his stomach he had no care in the world. But life wasn't so simple for young sorceress Aayliah. She was weak and fragile, her strong points remained her will and sarcasm. But soon, their two very different fates would be woven together as their city falls.

This is a fanfiction about Merlin. Arthur and merlin were just on a hunting trip when bandits kidnapped merlin. Arthur is devastated. He is willing to do anything to get merlin back.
