Don't go into the woods. It might just change your life.

Aislinn knew this well, but faced with the worst pain she had ever felt in life, she disregarded the rule and ran to the trees for refuge. Then, she came back the next morning. Her village couldn't believe why the wolf had let her live, but over the next ten years, her friendship with the beast kept her alive.

One fateful night, it even saved her life.

When her people turn against her, and cast her to the cursed woods, all she has left to rely on is the friend she found in a wolf, but even that may not be enough to save her from the community he calls home.

Starts off a little slow, but it picks up after the first few foundation chapters.

34 parts Complete
THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. Either he looks at you, or you look at him, or you both exchange looks. Either way, his senses will pick you up, and you can't hide. It'll be too late. The amazing cover is by @-blackrogue. "Stay with me, Princess," he whispered, his baritone voice low and sensual. "I need you." Gently taking her wrist, the man brought her hand to his lips and kissed them sweetly and slowly. His gaze never left hers, continuing eye contact throughout. He chuckled lowly when her cheeks got red. "You need me?" River breathed lightly. Interlacing their fingers, he hummed, "I need you." He parroted, "You heal me, love." ----------------------------------------------------------- River Flux Roi is a French Noblewoman with a passion for fish. She has been sheltered and controlled by her mother since she was a baby. The woman is not allowed a job, husband, social circle, or outdoor hobby. She is treated like livestock- like a cow who'll soon be killed for its meat. Stuck inside the estate all day with her manservant, she discovered her love for researching fish. They were so free. Before the May Day Festival, River must get to her mother's moonly tea before noon, or else her head will be on a platter. Yet, as she rushes there with her manservant... Hell falls from the heavens.
