This is a story about people known as The Arcane Ones. They are not like everyone else, they have a power known as their Arcane. There are three types of Arcane: Skin, Wind, and The Unknown.  They once were worshiped as gods, yet now they are nothing greater than a lower class worker and even slave in the Kingdom of Ikathea. 
When it is discovered by their neighboring Kingdom, Coril, that the King of Ikathea has been keeping secrets in an attempt to discover immortality, a war is just on the horizon. 
Eli, a young Arcane Skin boy escapes from his prison-like orphanage and discovers the dark secret of the place he called home. 
Arlice, a boy about to become King of Coril, struggles to fill his father's shoes and protect his country. 
Mara, a girl who just doesn't fit in with the other girls, becomes the insider her country needs and must decide who she wants to be. 
The ones who are brave enough to stand up and do something about what they learn are the ones who will lead their countries into a brighter future.
