When a fire consumes a family's home, two pet rats are lucky to escape and survive.  Unsure of what else to do, they turn and run into the forest, where other rats are lurking.  
What will become of Bluefur and Rosetail when they meet Twigwhisker and his pack?

--All the rats are colorful, even  the wild ones, because I didn't want to deal with a cast of agouti and black rats with slight white markings--
