Ebony Clarke is heartbroken when she found out her mother was murdered on her sixteenth birthday, but things get worse when she finds out that a Faction already decides her fate. On the Eve of the Choosing Ceremony, A Dauntless leader is sent to take her to the Dauntless Compound. Unaware, Ebony leaves in fear, only jumping on the train so that she could clear her head.
When she wakes up, not only does she find herself lost, but Ebony Clarke is now Kitana, a girl with the same personality as Ebony, but doesn't fear Dauntless and their constant invasion into her life.
