you said, knowing that the promise between you two was that you would hang out with him for only one day.
he knew that as well. he didn't want to admit that he wants you to stay, but his eyes said enough for you to understand.
"a promise is a promise."
you stated with a sigh as you stepped away from him.
he pulled you back by your arm, hoping he could convince you to stay.
"but what's the fun in a promise if we can't break it?"
he said, smiling gently. he was so good at luring you back in. but you couldn't, you couldn't stay.
you were going to get consumed by the way he would treat you, you were going to become obsessed with the feeling of his soft fingers touching your hands.
"it's never going to be a day like yesterday."
you said, pulling away with every last strand of strength you had left. you were crumbling under his eyes, his touch making you shiver.
"but it doesn't have to be."
he whispered in your ear, his breath shaking out of fear and sadness.

he lured you in once again, even though you knew it was wrong.
