Hidden Messages [Klance AU]

Keith can't sleep. Ever since his older brother disappeared, he's had nightmares that keep him awake at night. It's been two years.
As much as he tries to hide it, people started noticing the changes. So, after some advice, Keith writes all his troubles down in a letter sealed in a bottle. He throws it in the ocean, thinking that no one will ever find it.

Lance is a merman living beneath the waves in the mer kingdom of Altea. All his life, his family had warned him to never go close to the shore, for fear of being seen; and all his life, Lance had listened to those warnings. So how come he now found himself not only near the shore, but with a human object in his arms? Maybe it was the way the light shone off it, or the strange feeling he had to need to know more about it. What Lance didn't know was that the message hidden inside that bottle would change his life forever.
