Winnie can see it all with the use of her clairvoyance, cards, and scrying sphere; all except the fate and fortunes of Gus, her nonverbal three-year-old. Living on her own with her Gus in the city of Wintermerrow she finds herself isolated on one city block, secluded from the rest of the world. No one seems to understand life with a silent child or being able to see past people's masks and into their futures.
Her entire world is flipped upside down upon meeting Art, the new manager of the coffee shop that her apartment sits on, and the only person Gus will speak to.
