~My submission for the #PlanetOrPlastic challenge by National Geographic.

Hats off to National Geographic for taking the first stand against plastic pollution.

A glimpse into the daily lives of creatures under the sea from the creatures points of view.

How does what we do affect them?
Are the happy in their lives?
What do they think of us humans?

This story tells my thoughts on the fore mentioned questions, and raises a few of its own, the main one being,

Should we continue what we have been doing even after knowing how it affects sea life?

This is an answer only you can give.

So think on it while reading the story.

My whole life I dedicated to discovering the secrets of the ocean, but when one day I encounter a merman I think I might be losing my mind. Except it's real and he's asking me out. Spilling all his secrets. Sating my curiosity and stirring my lust. My own private nerdy professor turned merman, he ticks all my boxes. What do I do when my merman is in danger of discovery from my colleagues? Do I turn my back on them and help him? Do I sink or swim? Do I fall in love? This is a short prequel story for my other story Hook, Line & Sinking. This story can be read stand alone and you don't need to read this story to understand Hook, it's simply a bonus. ;-)
