In a world where Superheros fill the sky, and crime is low. Elizabeth Casters is filled with normal struggles; high school bullies, anger issues, having adopted parents, her best friend having cancer... twice, and boys of course.
Elizabeth has never been the best at handling her emotions. She wants to be strong and not give anyone a reason to abandon her again. Being abandoned by your birth parents at the raw age of five, didn't help her inability to share her emotions. It also doesn't help when her bio-parents happened to have superpowers. 5-year old Liz has no memories of her life before her adoptive parents found her.
Liz has always been the brawn and her best friend Penelope is the brain. Where Penny uses her words Liz uses her fists. Junior year of high school and Penny is inching closer to death's door as Liz becomes more and more emotionally unstable. Years of staying strong for herself and Penny have left her with walls and walls that won't break down. The walls keep inching higher and higher and seeming no one can break them, Liz is too afraid of being abandoned again.
Then Chase King enters the school, and the only thing he is the King of is smirking and seeing past her walls. He is an intriguing mystery that Liz doesn't want to make time for.
With electricity surging through her veins, Liz is about to go on a rollercoaster and not just the emotional kind.

Growing up in a toxic environment, sixteen-year-old Jay Foster has always had psychological problems, coupled with a quick temper. Living with a neglectful and drug addicted mother wasn't easy for Jay, and it definitely didn't help that his father abandoned the family while he was still a child. He harbored a hatred toward his parents, and that hatred extended to almost everyone and everything around him, producing a very troubled and damaged young kid. As Jay enters high school, he becomes very intrigued with one of his classmates. Kind of obsessed, actually. Her name: Mikayla Keeler. Mikayla is very unique, and like Jay, she doesn't seem to fit in with her contemporaries. Instead, the two of them keep each other company, and their friendship very quickly escalates into a romantic and intimate relationship. Despite having Mikayla, Jay's troubles continue to burden him. He and Mikayla are fighting habitually, his home life is still unbearable, and his time at school is hardly any better, made worse by a bully named Calvin. Their mutual dislike of one another leads to a lot of hostility, routinely leading to Jay being sent to his school's principal. One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school. With everything seemingly piling up, Jay is very close to his breaking point, and late one night he is blindsided by the unthinkable, pushing him much too far and effectively planting in his mind a cruel and horrific plan for revenge.Complete
