When Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros, he not only brought Dragons with him but also Shifters. Shifters are distant cousins of dragons and humans, they can change into the form of a dragon, only a few powerful shifters can change into other things as well. They were said to have gone extinct with the dragons, all but one, the most powerful and the oldest shifter was wounded in the battle that ended the Targaryen dynasty and was forced to flee north off the wall. It is there where Hela Vaelreos, resides watching, waiting to finally be called to battle once more.
