What was supposed to be NASA's first ever round-about trip to the moon, breaks out into an inescapable pandemonium when the Polaris - the ship that carries six passengers, who have minute knowledge of the endless space outside their safe, blue world - malfunctions. As the ship drifts lethally closer to the Sun, their last hope rests on their short-tempered commander, Kat Henderson. Believing her sole purpose is to widen the gap between the Polaris and the Sun and nothing more, Kat reluctantly accepts responsibility not only for the six passengers, but for her also for her two crew mates. However, through this havoc Kat must realise something before the Polaris takes the scorching hospitality of the Sun: that her own intellect is not the only place where help can be found. In fact, she has got eight minds for aid.
