It's funny when you grow up adoring someone, but then you finally meet them. At the age of 17 I started listening to this band called R5. They were my absolute favorite band. I wanted to be Rydel, and I wanted to be with Riker. I had all of their posters in my room. When I turned 18 and went off to college I took down my posters, but I still listened to them just as often as before I moved. The christmas of my freshman year I went back home for the holidays even though my hometown was Boston and I was off at UCLA. As a present my parents gave me a gift that changed my life, just not the way I expected.
