Melody and her sister Cora have only had each other since their family was burned in the fire. Thanks to the Argents. Even though they're sisters Melody knew she was adopted it didn't mean much since blood didn't always mean family.

Talia was the best mother Melody could ask for. Whenever she had a fit and her magic caused some damage. Talia never blamed her just tried to comfort her and help her control it.

The only reason she found that she was adopted is that she was the same age as Cora and they weren't twins. It bothered her when she was younger but now with only Cora it's all she cherishes.

Cora and Melody find out that their older brother, Derek, is alive while being an alpha and creating his whole pack. While on the way to Beacon Hills they get captured by the alpha pack.
