Holly Halliday only had two important things in her life. One was her art and the other was her best friend Gabriel Colton. Starting school for their senior year, everything begins to fall apart for Holly. Her artwork bombs, and Gabe has apparently found the girl of his dreams. Her teacher sent her to a beginner art class, which had to be the end of her world, but Holly finds an unexpected friendship there. When Gabe asks her if she would test out dates with him, she gags but determines to help him. Fake dating Gabe became a double edged sword, especially when he made such perfect dates. How she wanted to be his girl but it seemed a distant dream. It seems that everything improves for everyone but her and Holly doesn't know what to think. Her sadness inspires her painting back to life, but Gabe seems to be lost to her. Can she last the rest of the year without her best friend? Will this girl of his ever live up to her expectations when she's the one who wants to be with Gabe?
