I took two steps back for every stride he took towards me. I gulped again before shaking me head. "She's just joking Ace." my voice quivered as I took another two steps back. There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. I am putting this out for the whole world to see because I hope everyone will learn from my experience. People can see. We have no excuses to continue living our lives in ignorance. ...WARNING... He cocked his head to the side walking closer to me, as I started backing up "You thought you could hide the fact that she's my kid?" He pointed to the house "She's not y-your-s" I stutter more and my back hit the door as he climbed my steps "Don't lie to me now Lesy" he mocked using my old nick name. He grow closer and I started freaking out all over again ************ Tessa went back home. Her parents passed and left the house to her. She took up the offer and moved from Texas to Montana. When she got there she met a girl who led to meeting her old lover from high school. As soon as the words hello came from his mouth she knew she still had feelings for him, but she needed to stay far away from him. If that was even possible considering she's now best friends with his best friends little sister. And they both are street racers. And he's more then just a street racer though. What's gonna happen when their worlds come crashing into each other at full speed?
