The year is 1877. For the residents of a town called Cedar Creek, deep in the Washington territory, the winter has been particularly brutal.  Including to local woodsman and hunter, Alexander Gates.  So the local sheriff and his deputies decide to offer him a job that'll pay well; leading them through a treacherous mountainside in the dead of winter while perusing a bloodthirsty gang of outlaws.  With no choice but to accept, Alexander reluctantly agrees. Unfortunately, the job goes horribly wrong and now the fate of the whole town may rest on their shoulders. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened.
