If flight 102 didn't crash, I was certain that my four year relationship would if I was with Matty for ten hours. Authors note: Hiii this is the first fanfic I've attempted at writing and I'm very new to this so please feel free to leave any comments that have (constructive) criticism! I'm not used to writing stories yet, so the grammar might not always be up to par. I'll also be editing as I write to try to provide as accurate of a portrayal of Matthew Healy as I possibly can. (He's a very complex person). Thank you a thousand times over for reading, x. (Note: I've chosen to make Matty and Ross completely unrelated characters for now, and just normal people)

Los Angeles, 2013. The 1975 are on the edge of fame, and Matty Healy is unraveling as quickly as he's rising. In a sweat-soaked dive bar, he meets an aspiring actress with fire in her eyes and loneliness in her bones. Their connection is instant - cigarettes, bruised laughter, late-night confessions - but it isn't love. What begins as hunger and escape spirals into a ritual of destruction: hotel rooms, empty bottles, whispered promises, and the needle that binds them tighter than desire ever could. This is not a happy love story. It's a fever dream - two souls chasing oblivion, desperate to feel everything and nothing all at once.
