17 year old Liz Ducis is your average blonde girl. She has a crush, is a fierce soccer player, and has a tendency to get into fights. Here's the problem; its year 6034 and humans are all but extinct. We all know there have been different stages of life on earth: the dinosaurs, ice age, humans. But after the sun scorched the earth there is now a new time - the time of the Novas, a deadly creature.
Those who live in the Salvum, protected by walls are safe and live a life of luxury. On the other hand Liz among the majority of the population live in poverty outside the walls in the shadows, that have become filled with violence and crime. Living in the shadows is dangerous enough, so Liz's different appearance and unlikely skills in combat keep her in the center of trouble.
As Liz learns more about the Salvum she starts to discover the secrets her life is built on, which always leads back to the question is her appearance the only thing that separates her from everyone else.
