Si Leander Hero Goddard ay isang vampire. Asawa nya si Eritrea na dating tao na ginawang bampira dahil ginusto nya iyon simula nang malaman nya na nag-eexist pala at totoo ang mga bampira.

Namatay si Eritrea dahil may nalaman sya tungkol sa mga masasamang ginagawa ng mga Lamia. Ngunit ibinintang ang pagkamatay ni Eritrea sa mga tao. Nakita kasi ni Hero na may binatang lalaki na nakahawak kay Eritrea tapos ay tumakbo ng mabilis.

Makalipas ang dalawang dekada. Hindi pa rin matanggap ni Hero ang nangyari, gusto nyang maghiganti sa mga tao. Marami na syang napatay na tao hanggang makita nya si Eris Xena na kamukha ni Eritrea.
