Excerpt: He was coming closer. I looked to Zayn my eyes blown with fear and bewilderment. Zayn grabbed me by the shoulders, forcing me to lock my gaze with his. "Liam, listen to me, you have to run. Now!" "Zayn, I-I can't. I can't just leave you here!" I screeched, he was asking too much of me. "Liam, just go! Run!" His chest was heaving up and down, the fight or flight response working inside of him, he was making the decision... unfortunately for me he chose to fight. "Liam!! GO!" Zayn harshly shoved me forward. My mind was swarming with actions and thoughts, I sort of froze, but then the fight or flight response initiated inside of me as well, except I chose to run. My heart was pounding in my chest, my breathing labored, my mind numb. The same fence we had hopped over earlier came into view, sparking hope inside of me, maybe, just maybe I can make it. But then I heard Zayn's agonizing shriek...what have I done?
