Cover Done By @JadeQueen100 When a cure for the common cold is created, the world was ecstatic. People were using this new drug without the knowledge of it not being tested once. The first case was in Los Angeles, then New York City, next, Chicago. It spread faster than the cold itself. The disorientation, heart palpitations, headaches, fever. It was the start of a new disease, one that would drop the population by 90 percent. Desperate for survival, Lily and Oliver Prince have been hiding, scavenging, and repeating since day one. When Oliver is taken, Lily needs to make a decision; does she accept her fate, or does she trust the man that would be her only means of escape?

He can hear them coming. He doesn't know where, but he can hear them from the distance. Their whispers. Clueless of what they're about. Their footsteps. Regardless of where they plan to hide next. But he knows that it's somewhere nearby. And he has an idea of who their next victim is. He must help her. Before she turns into one of them. It's too late to take any risks. He must go soon. But what he was unaware of, was that they already made their next move. ________________________________ They are fast. Quiet. They can speak without moving their lips. No words. Something else. They're hidden beneath the shadows of where we used to be. Right behind your house. Only few can hear them. Ones who shouldn't. They should live normal, happy lives like the rest of us. But they can harshly hear the silent, swift footsteps of the others. The ones that are Injected.
