This is a short story that is a about these two siblings being stranded on an mysterious island and trying to find a way to return home. The problem is that they don't remember where is home and discovers that their memory is slowing fading. They both meet new friends that are also living at the island which helps them unravel the secrets of this "research center" isn't just what it seems to be.

The royal guards ambushed the princess and took her away to the witch's house near the ocean. The two white witches agreed to help the princess for her desperate plea to return to her home castle. And stop her brother for his act of disposing his only twin sibling. The two white witches told her to take a swim in the sea before leaving. Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water. Will Lucia see her family again as a mermaid? How is she going to reach them if she can't swim as a mermaid? Princess Lucia was new to be a mermaid. -Summer teen romance- Isla Nova Dawson has always been the type of girl to hang out amongst big crowds of people. She prefers the company of a few people where she feels the most confident in. She thrives lost in the crowd, where she can confidently make jokes and laugh heartily at others that may not be that funny. There's no surprise why Isla has become some of the popular type at school- she loves being known by others. Julian Hayes isn't a loner. No- far from it- he has a group of friends he plays baseball with and surf during the summer. He has family that he is known to hang out with. He just tends to stay away from big crowd of people where he doesn't feel comfortable in. Isla and her friends find themself at this opportunity of a lifetime. Finishing off her Junior year of high school, her school offers resources to go on a trip with teenagers like her. Travel for Teens isn't a new concept but it is for the small town of South Carolina. At this opportunity, the group of people jump at the chance to get out and do something new which will no doubt be fun. It was supposed to be fun for Julian as well but after plans abruptly change and thousands of dollars that cannot go to waste, he finds himself alone at the trip. Sure, he can go out and socialize with teenagers especially since they're ones from his school but he finds himself isolated from the group. The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. "I dare you to kiss a guy you don't even know the name of," Isla was asked and soon she found herself kissing Julian. It shocks Julian to a pause, here he was sitting idly to a girl kissing him suddenly. Julian ponders on it, but then finds out that the kiss wasn't meant to be anything.
