Gawain, the earth avatar, has unleashed the anger of the spirits on the world.  They are wreaking destruction over the world.  In order to stop them before they destroy everything, he has to sacrifice himself.  That means dying while he is in the avatar state.  But airbender Rohan--Tenzin's son--proposed an idea that may allow the avatar cycle to continue while still making the spirits believe he has died.  

Years later, Arit--unknowingly the new avatar--is living in a small village in what used to be the Fire Nation.  

But is Gawain still alive?  If he is, then how could two avatars coexist?

This story follows the first born child of the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik of the Omaticaya clan. Older sister to Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuktirey. She was raised to be the perfect balance of Neytiri and Jake, maybe a little too perfect. Follow her story as she has to give up the only life she has ever known to keep her people safe. --**-- My grandmother notices my frozen state and makes her way to me. "My child..." I turn to look at her, "do not be afraid of life, do not be afraid of fate, be afraid of doing nothing to change it." As the words leave her lips, it sparks a dying fire in my heart.
