Lance and Keith coincidentally meet at a local tutoring center back in the fifth grade. Over time, Keith and Lance become attached to one another, and Keith gets used to Lance's friends (Pidge and Hunk). Fast forward to freshmen year of high school. Their friends Pidge and Hunk are in a separate school, but Keith and Lance end up Mulberry High.
Keith starts to realize how stressful it is to be in high school. But with Lance by his side, he feels like he can face hell. And oh, how he did.
Later, Lance is unable to recover from his car accident-which happened when the boy was coming home (slightly tipsy) from Allura's Christmas Party.
What will his two remaining friends do to help him, before ends up just like Lance?
