Valeria has been abused by her father her since her mother died 5years ago. She was only 12 years old. She has never been able to attend school so she creates a plan in order for her to go. Her only safe place is the forest beside her school, however, she feels someone watching when every time she goes. As it turns out it is the new guy in class, though Valeria wishes to learn more about mason. She pushes him away in order to keep him safe from her secret. But mason has a secret too. He's a vampire. Mason sees right through the makeup that Valeria puts on everyday. He sees the pain she is in and he sees the hurt they her father has caused her. The poor teens (vampire teen and human teen) fall hopelessly in love but Valeria refuses to let him go anywhere near her home life. Little does she now that she already has. He's in her life, and he's never going back.

Nova thinks he snuck into her room to kiss her, so she decides to go to a party, her first high school party, which happens to be a neophyte party to make new vampires. Nova is turned into a vampire as a joke by a classmate because she is vegan, and he thought it would be funny to make a vegan into a carnivore. After Nova is transformed, she has to learn to accept her life, as it is now (infertility, not growing old, intense cravings, and gaining acceptance from those she loves, and new acquaintances, and of course herself. Story follows characters from 7th Grade through their freshman year of college. Chapters are out of sequence, which I think makes this work fun and unique.Complete
