PROLOGUE....
She tossed and turned hard in her bed, sweat beaded on her forehead, face, and neck. Her nightclothes were soaked as her body twitched and her muscles spasmed dreaming of a man. The same man that has always been in her dreams, only this time the dream was more real than ever.
He was a tall, handsome man with black symbolic tattoos marked on his bronzed muscular form, his eyes golden and soft.
He reached out to her, begging her to come to him, his face was so gentle and kind. She took a step back, her foot slipped close to an edge of a cliff. She turned to see sharp jagged rocks and black water below hitting the cliff side.
She breathes deeply as a sharp, cold gust of wind blows her hair back.
"Fly, Rose," she heard a soft female voice say, "Fly, now," she heard in a more urgent tone.
"Rose," she heard the man say, she turned and the man was
now face to face with her. His eyes looking deep into her own, his lips so close.
"Stay with me, Rose. Please," he said touching her hand tenderly. He said please as a child would wanting a toy, he said it from deep within.
He came closer, their bodies almost touched, she felt heat and electricity between them.
"No, Rose," said the feminine voice, "get away from him, turn and fly."
"Stay," the man said, his eyes glowing a brighter gold, begging her with unshed tears of pain, of need.
Her mind and heart battled to decide who to trust. The handsome, gentle looking man in pain? Or, turn and fly?
Fly? The plunge to the bottom of the cliff was at least one hundred feet with dangerous rocks and deep black water.
"Believe," said the voice in the wind, "Walk by faith, Rose, not by. sight alone."
"Rose, please." said the man in a deep monotone voice.
" Rose," said the soft voice.
