In times where a war between the rich and the poor commences and evil lurks in the darkness, miraculous rebel forces face against corrupted Akumas made by the notorious Hawkmoth. For years, Chat Noir and Ladybug have worked with other miraculous wielders to protect the poverty-stricken people of Paris. When a mission goes terribly wrong, Ladybug is killed in the crossfire.

Abandoned by his parents and living his whole life with the poor, Adrien Agreste falls into depression after the love of his life is killed. He knows that there will never be another Ladybug like her.

Trapped in the life of the rich and practically raised by servants, Marinette Dupain-Cheng is of age to be married off to a man with high-status. A rebellious spirit with a need for adventure and escape from a lonely life planned out, she is given a chance to be free and make her own decisions.

What happened before Co-Pilot? Well, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, a.k.a. Ladybug and Chat Noir, are the top two agents working for a French secret service known as Miraculous. An organization designed to handle the most convoluted missions, it would take a miracle to solve them. Which for years had been dealing with mission "Akuma". Marinette has been missing for a week and no one knows where she could have gone. Ladybug went on a mission and she's left Chat Noir in charge while she was gone. Chat Noir has found Hawk Moth but Ladybug is not back yet. Knowing she trusted him, he recruited some of his superhero friends to help him take Hawk Moth down. The heroes knew victory was close and so did Hawk Moth. Hawk Moth decided to use the only ace up his sleeve, the only thing he knew would make the heroes falter. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng is... dead." This story is a work of fiction! The characters do not belong to me, they belong to the original creators of Miraculous Ladybug: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Hope you enjoy!

Marinette has always been there for Paris as Ladybug with the help of the charming Chat Noir. After having a terrible accident, Marinette is unable to help her fellow team mate fight off akumatised victims and without the help of Ladybug's Lucky Charm Paris falls into a state of deep peril. With the burden of Paris growing on his shoulders, Chat Noir starts to slowly give up more and more. As well as when he checks up on Marinette he's all battered and bruised. Unable to deal with the guilt Marinette is faced with two decisions. One, either she stay in bed and let her body recover while Hawkmoth comes closer to winning, or two, she transforms into Ladybug again in the state she is in hoping that it won't be her last battle.
