While getting water to fill the well, Valura is caught in the worst situation possible. Upon her return home, she is stopped by riders from the village and told to run for her life and save her family. Someone or something caused a land slide which partially cut off the village from the kingdom. She was too far away to be of any help and when she did get the chance, she did what she could.

Valura was nine when her family was brutally killed right in front of her by a land slide. She had the unfortunate displeasure of baring witness from a distance. With no family left and no place to live, where will she go? The family hide out is only for emergencies. How will she survive? She is good at taking care of herself but she will need help eventually. Is she too young to remember what her family taught her? Will she be able to handle the pressure of being orphaned so young? Perhaps she will find friendship or love along the way. Follow her on her way through life and find out if she can live up to her destiny.
