Jason (he is alive in this) was staying with Polly also. When Betty got to Southside High she was hard as nails but the bad boy caught her eye Jughead Jones. He was her mentor buddy until Southside high got shut down and everyone moved to Riverdale High where she met Veronica and Archie and her Cousin Cheryl. They decided to met each other's families after two months of dating. Her dad didn't support it so he kept on abusing Betty while Alice sat there watching it happen.
